Windows for Cuba

Hi I am from Cuba, but I have friends in EEUU, so I like to have a Lumia, but I dont know if from here I can access to the windows store and download app. Also I have a genuine laptop with windows 8.1 Pro x64.

Hello and welcome to Windows Central.

You may find this reference useful: Windows Phone feature and service availability

It appears that you may not be able to download apps from Cuba... however, you may always change your phone region settings to any of the listed countries in the reference, e.g. United States, to be able to begin downloading apps (and using additional features such as Cortana).

So by a single change of region I will capable of use all windows services?

You would need Region/Country/Language/Keyboard all to agree for the best experience and consistency.

In case of Apps and the Store you may have issue unless you get a payment method recognized that conforms to the Region, etc. Even in case of free Apps, the Store wants a payment method on file.

I'm not experienced as a Region switcher. Maybe someone else has more details coming...
