Installed Windows 10 but C drive still lists Windows 8 as OS?

Installed Windows 10 but C drive still lists Windows 8 as OS

Installed Windows 10 three months ago. when I check in System it displays Windows 10 Home as my OS. However, in This PC the C drive displays Windows 8 as my OS. Could this be causing the loss of the start menu at least once per week?

It sounds like the volume name of the PC is just Windows 8. You can name the volume whatever you want.

As far as your start menu disappearing, is it going into Tablet Mode?
