Windows Central Question

HELP!

Before anyone says anything, I do NOT have an SD card in my machine. I have Windows 10 Pro (upgraded in July from Windows 7 Ultimate) and in Windows Update I am invited to upgrade to this new "super" version 1055 or whatever it's called, released in November.

It starts upgrading with the black screen and white wheel creeping round, at the bottom of the screen it says "copying files". The file copying process finishes, the PC reboots (it's a Dell 32-bit Precision 390 Workstation with 4gb ram). Then it begins "installing drivers", the second part as detailed at the bottom of screen. It then gets to about 12% of the installing drivers process and suddenly I get a blue screen telling me "Windows ran into a problem. We're collecting some information then we'll restart your machine."

After restarting it restores the machine back to the state it was in before the update. I want to install this November 2015 update but it seems impossible!

How can I get it to install without getting this stupid error message?
