My audio goes on my Pro 4 when I skip ads and I can't retrieve it.

My generic audio device seems to get deleted on my Pro 4, when I skip an ad when viewing a youtube video. The sound icon on the tool bar gets a red cross, saying no speakers or headphones are plugged in, but I just want to use the generic inbuilt sound device. What do I do?
