Unable to download apps

[Windows Central Question]

It's a brand new alumina 550. Unable to downloads apps from the store. The download process doesn't progress. Shows pending as status for hours.
Any fix?

Check under email and accounts if the account you entered when setting up the phone is ok/ check time-date-region (throw in language just to be sure lol)/ soft reset and try again (sometimes the time jumps when soft resetting so make sure that is still in order)
