    I recently got a i5, 8gb ram, 256 go storage surface pro 4 for Christmas. It was bought through a retail store in New York to avoid taxes online. It has screen bleed issues, along with a constant battery drain while shut down or asleep. If I have it charging while shut down overnight, unplug it and turn it on 6 hours later the battery only had ~50% left and is noticeably warm when taken out of its sleeve. I tried turning Windows hello off, quick start, connected standby, all updates installed but the issue remains. I tried resetting it, issues still there. My question is, will the Microsoft store replace it despite me not having the purchase verification from the retail store in New York? And do they replace it with new or refurbed device? Last time I exchanged a device and got refurb back from them the patch up paint chipped within the same week, so a small concern for me. Please answer, and thanks in advance!
