flight sim / win 10

[Windows Central Question]

i can not get any of my 3 microsoft flight simulator games (F.S. 98, Combat F.S., and F.S. 2004) to run in windows 10. i have looked for answers at microsoft community forum, but none of their answers work. most of them seem to apply only to much older versions of windows anyway. i have not yet purchased or activated windows 10. if i can not make my games work in 10, i see no reason to buy it, and i will buy windows 7 instead. will they run in win 10? if so, what is the fix?

Those programs are antiques, almost 20 years old.

I don't think they run under Windows 7 either.

Your best bet is to run Windows 10 and then using Hyper-V or VirtualBox to run your old XP or Windows 98 license.
