Where are my text messages

Just upgraded my 640XL to windows 10, it did not go smoothly. I have got over most of the problems but I can't get my text. I can send them but when they come in they flash up on the top of the screen & indicate on the tile but when you go in it's empty. Where are they?

check for updates for the messaging app and for the OS too
Also, check that your message settings are for messages to be synced between devices and the time is set to anytime
