text notifications not working after Windows 10 update

Text message notifications stopped working after Windows update around end of July 2016. Current OS build 10.0.14393.5
Phone also got "buggy" like Windows 8.1 was.
Anyone else having issues with last update? Anyone have solutions?

check that messaging is enabled in the background
try a soft reset
check that messaging has a tone set for it and notifications are on

Tried all that but no luck. Thanks for replying Chintan. Gonna try the Anniversary Update but not liking the posted problems I am reading.

I personally have no issues getting windows 10 texting notifications. Have you tried a hard reset? Sadly that does seem to be the only way to get windows 10 mobile running properly :/ But the only big issue I have after a hard reset is the Bluetooth toggle issue, but that is a known issue in this build.
