How do you guys wake your surface pro 4 using the typecover?

I have been using my SP4 for over 2 months now but i cant seem to wake it up from sleep using the typecover. I have seen videos of people waking their SP4 by pressing a key but mine does not respond so I have to open it using the power button. Is there a setting i need to enable first to do this?

that would probably be in the power settings for waking up though I know it's supposed to be automatic
