Microsoft Lumia 532 is dead

so last night my phone ran out of battery, so I left it to charge overnight. (I wasn't paying attention so I can't remember if the phone said it was charging or not.)
This morning I woke up and my phone was completely unresponsive. Nothing happens when I press any of the buttons. I've also checked the charger to see if it was working and it is.
So any ideas on how to fix this?

Try a soft reset. Press and hold "volume down + power", wait till the vibe followed by the logo. At this point let go of the keys and let it boot up normally.

try a different charger too just to be sure
