I messed up the colors on my windows 10 laptop and can not see items help

I just go a new HP laptop with win10. didn't like the colors that came with win10 so tried to choose nicer colors with light back grounds.

Well I got some of what I wanted but screwed up where some areas are the same color at the item in the box, so cannot see. I need to either get back the colors that I assume are default, or get some guideance to fix the mess I made.

What do you mean by changing colours? How did you do it in the first place? Can't you use the same way to go back?

click the start button and type theme or colours - it should bring up the settings option for colour schemes
From there you should be able to change the theme from light to dark and also the colours
