Why do some videos become only audio when imported to windows movie maker

I have a video stored in images. when I import it to windows movie maker to be able to edit it, it becomes audio only, so i get the sound but not the picture

are you able to play the video on pc? And what format is the video? Is the format supported by movie maker?
