Missing split on-screen keyboard in Fall Creator's Update

Has anyone else noticed that this option is missing after the update? I find it critical for using my Surface Pro in landscape mode. Is it in some hidden or moved setting now?

as per patch notes, this feature has been removed. I am freaking out now. Please, submit a request to get it back via feedback hub. Maybe if enough of us make a stink, Microsoft would consider it.

Sometimes you have to wonder what goes into decisions like this... Knowing these clowns feedback wont work, best to look for 3rd party alternatives.

This is INSANE! The replacing swipe keyboard is WASTLY inferior on my Surface Pro and the other layouts are absolutely useless to. Soo increadibly bad judgement!

This feature is not useful for me on Lumia.
So unsupported FCU users can use this.
Feedback support team have huge collection of pending features requests to implement.

just go to settings, typing, then activate make available on screen keyboard button when it's not in tablet mod.....
simple as that....

I've been using the split keyboard since Windows 8!!! And MS takes it away!!! I want the split keyboard back!!!! Why is it available on lock screen and not anywhere else? It's been 3 mths now. I'm still PO'd! MS really knows how **** off customers.

I haven’t used my surface pro in a while and now I come back to find this dumb change. This angers me soooo much. On the iPad Pro at least I still have the option. Microsoft is constantly doing stuff to push people away. I think it’s by design. They want people to hate windows.
