Intro to Android for Windows Phone Users?

I'm noticing helpful reviews of various Android phones here on Windows Central. And in those reviews I'm seeing references to what I assume are Android OS functions and features. E.g. "launcher." What's a launcher?

How about if you, or someone else at WC write a "Everything you need to know about Android" guide for Windows Phone newbies?

Or if there already is such a thing - post the link in a reply.
