I have to agree. I switched from my grandfathered plan that I had since 2002 (with one exception being that I "lost" my $2.99 T-Zones in early 2011 and "had to" buy a data plan) back in April and couldn't be happier. I'm getting way more for even less money at this point (since getting approved for a school discount as my mother works for a college), so I see no problem. If people have a problem with paying $45 per month, they can always switch to the $30 prepaid plan and rely on VoIP apps for their voice calls if 100 minutes isn't enough.

I'm going to wait and see what is offered, but I might take advantage of the no ETF...I can't get a signal in the house anymore.

This doesn't affect me but its sad. I use there 30 plan with Skype every month. So I ja e unlimited everything for $40 bucks a month. Or 35$ if I bought Skype for a year..

So, anyone have a list of what is considered a "Grandfathered" plan? Is it anything and everything that isn't what they currently offer? I kind of like my $30 100min/unlimited text, data.

My Lumia 810 isn't a year old yet...unless T-Mobile is offering these phones free, I'm not buying a new one unless I'm switching carriers.

Oh i see.. I have a L810 too and hate that.. Well you know a 521 "backup" wouldn't hurt ;)

Hmm, I haven't received this note yet, nearing 1 year on my 810 classic plan...would love to have the ability to switch carriers with no ETF.
