Can a Continuum dock be used with a normal computer?

There aren't a lot of systems with USB-C yet, but I was just wondering if the dock could act as a laptop docking station for a laptop with a USB-C port. Any ideas?

Well you can use the HDMI dock for Continuum so - maybe yes:
