Cortana bug

Anyone else notice that Cortana cant tell jokes or do impressions when location is turned off.... I even turned location off when she was speaking and she just cut off. Seems like she needs location for moat things which is a shame as its a battery drainer. Plus I cant get her to read out my text despite using the settings. Any help on this would be great

Cortana needs a lot of things switched on (or off), so she is a bit of a battery hog.

That's why I keep her switched off most of the time. It means I can't use quiet hours, but I'll just turn on flight mode.

Quiet hours is so mucked up too. I find that if I turn it off then turn it on then quiet hours set in cortanas settings don't work...(I.e quiet hours doesn't come on) so many bugs still need to be ironed out

Yea, I don't understand why location needs to be ON to just have Cortana to work. I like putting my phone in airplane mode and then set my alarm before. Never fails that I have to turn it back on.
