Nokia Imaging SDK - BlendFilter help

I'm new to Nokia Imaging SDK but have been messing with the Real Time Filter Example and creating my own filters etc which is reasonably straight forward. Where I've come unstuck is when trying to combine a pre-existing image in the project using BlendFilter set to multiply. I've read the BlendFilter method documentation but just can't seem to make it work.

Is there any possibility that someone could post a code example of the correct way to use BlendFilter to combine an image?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
