The trial doesn't save when you exit in the middle of a game... making it somewhat useless in my opinion, considering the long game play. Could someone who bought it comment on whether the full version does save?

Thanks!

The trial hanged on me and I had to restart my phone, I was able to continue. Can't remember for sure if it was where I left off at but I presume so. Still, the lack of an actual save system is disappointing, would like to find out if the full version has saves too.

I tried the game out, but have been disappointed so far with it. It is keeping my progress though. The graphics are not very good at all, definitely can tell is a port.

I saw Majesty mentioned on the Civ announcement article comments and got it and it is an amazingly well done game though! I love strategy type games and though I planned on making Civ an instant buy I'm glad I did trial it first and then found Majesty as I like it much better. Bought Majesty and am loving it. Recommend you try it out if you like Civ.

Full version has a working save system

Agreed on graphics. Not that great.

Great, will be getting it then. Resolution does seem somewhat low but what bugs me more is how laggy the game feels. Or rather, it doesn't lag that badly but it's not smooth. Pretty decent port gameplay-wise though.

Yeah, save system is a go. Save whenever you want with 4 slots to use. Great game in my opinion; buy it if you haven't already.

Civ Revolutions trial - getting started?

I've got the Civ Rev trial. It runs fine. But, I don't see how you get started with this game. I see how you can move your "warrior" around. But, I don't see how you expand the city or build new cities or do anything besides moving.
And, there are mountains but shouldn't you be able to move into them?

Can't move through mountains, but you can fly over them later. In order to expand, there is a little button that looks like a city on the right of the screen - that's your main interface for city building.

So, I get a bunch of these military units moving around. Exploring. Sometimes they defeat a village. And, they get wiped out if they attack a city. Once I saw a symbol to combine two units. But, it would be better to combine more of them. Is there a way to do that?
Is there a web page you'd recommend with suggestions on strategy and tactics for this game?

You can combine units (into an army) if you have three units of the same type on one square. Units are much stronger in an army.

Pay attention to their offensive and defensive stats. Some units have great defense but weak offense and others are the opposite. Therefore some units are built to attack cities and units, while others are meant to defend cities and units. I should emphasize that you should protect your units. You don't want 5 armies of catapults to get crushed by a few warriors because they couldn't defend themselves, and had no defensive escort.

Also, you could actually win a game without ever fighting anyone, as long as you have the means to keep other civs off your back. Domination is only one way to win. You should be able to find much info on the web. You might not be able to find much for the WP version of Civ Rev, but other versions, such as the 360 version should have an abundance of info available after a quick Bing (Google) search.
