From what I know, the official app was taken off from the market due to some tiff between Google and Microsoft.
I use youtube downloader, lets me see videos online as well as offline.

metrotube is a very popular choice and clearly ranks among the best apps I have installed !
The closest to "official" would be the one published by Microsoft:
YouTube | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
... but it's really bad supposedly after they took the original one down and made the ad-supported version.
I was wondering why the YouTube app update kept failing. I still have the good version.

I thought the YouTube app from MS is just a link to " m.youtube.com ", nothing more.
