Groupme issue

I'm getting a "error trying to register to Microsoft server. Try again" when loading groupme. After I get a "sorry! Groupme had trouble registering for push with Microsoft. Please restart the app and try again. Details: the channel does not exist, but could not be opened. Try again opening the channel again." This happened after the previous update. I have uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone, reset the app from within. Any help is appreciated. I use this for for work and I'm not getting the notifications not even through SMS.

That's strange. I just tested GroupMe with a group that I'm in, and it worked for me.

Are you using WiFi or mobile network?

I tried both and it still gives me the same error. I signed in on my iPhone and no issues there.

Same thing here. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I was actually having this problem today so what I did was go online and sign in to GroupMe on the web page and while logged in I tried to log in, in the app and it worked.
