However I see on the website that to get rid the watermarks it puts in PDF files and other limitations you have to pay $5/month or $50/year.

VERY nice app. Some quick thoughts after initial usage...
- from App: allows upload/saving/sharing of PDF file to SkyDrive from app scan (personal Cloud save)
- from App: edited/OCR docs are saved to App Cloud (not personal storage unless also saved)
- from Camera Lense: allows saving of jpg to Photot Hub|Camera Roll (local save)

So if you want private scans, you need to use the camera lense portal and save to jpg. Any editing/annotation/notes will be saved to the App Cloud.

- sharing of jpgs via your Photo Hub|Camera Roll (local storage) or from App (cloud storage)
- sharing of PDFs via SkyDrive upload and emailing from there
- editing: rotate scanned image @90 degree intervals; crop/adjust edges; lighten; 'magic color'(very bright?); B&W; grayscale; name/rename doc; name/rename pages(within multiple page doc); annodate; notes.
- multiple scans(multiple pages) are enabled from 'All documents' within initial scan (just keep scanning and saving additional pages)

Additional....
- syncing is excellent...seamless, automatic and speedy. Sync setting is over WiFi only(default) or WiFi and cell
- scan auto focuses....good clear/sharp scans
- documents are able to be sorted; tagged; annodated(via separate auto linked companion 'InNote' app ...also very good); add notes
- app stored docs(PDFs) can be opened via local apps (ie PDF Reader etc). Local stored docs(jpg) can be opened via Photo Hub|Camera Roll
- registration is via either phone number or email; 10GB initial free storage for docs (remote app server)...additional space available; 'Premium account' *appears* to be current load at new registration. Registration 'Start' datestamp (clock?) is marked.
- docs are pinnable to wp8 Start screen

General Observations...
CamScanning is a very polished, smooth app. No glaring glitches and fairly well thought out. There is no help/tip page either within app or online, to ease initial usage, so you just have to give it a go.
CamScannerDeveloper home page (strangely not linked anywhere in Store or within app): CamScanner | Turn your phone and tablet into scanner for intelligent document management.
CamScanner 'User Guide'/feature list (also not linked or noted within app): CamScanner | Turn your phone and tablet into scanner for intelligent document management.
Pricing - free/premium feature list & pricing: CamScanner | Turn your phone and tablet into scanner for intelligent document management.

Am currently unsure about apparent wp8 pricing...initial premium install w/o charge tho clock might be ticking. Upgrade from Basic(free) to Premium(paid) is available either monthly or yearly. Initial Premium install *might* be on a 'trial', tho no info given other than a 'start' datestamp.

Overall, a very nice useful and smooth functioning app

Edit to add...
Also are able to...
- copy and paste OCR text into other apps ie OneNote and email from there.
- move/copy a scanned doc into another scanned doc (Merge), and further sort page order within that merged doc.
- YouTube video demo (Apple/Android)
note: the 'Print'and 'Fax' functions are not yet within the wp8 app version yet. Hopefully soon tho.
- pricing update: "...get started with a free Trial now by downloading CamScanner from WP8 Marketplace, Apple iTunes or Google Play." note: another of the Dev app's has a 60 day trial, so maybe that's the timeframe as well(?)
