I switched from an 800 to1020 last weekend, and I assumed that with GDR2 enabling CardDav and CalDav support, i wouldn't face any issues syncing my gmail contacts. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case so far with me. I am not able to see my gmail contacts in neither the People hub list nor when I am trying to send a mail via my gmail. The only ones that are there are the ones that had created in outlook on my old phone and the ones that are syncing via Facebook/Twitter. There are a few gmail contacts but i only see their profile pic and not their contact information. I have tried a lot of fixes which include:-
1. Deleting my gmail inbox, and re-syncing it
2. Using Exchange option as suggested here on the forum

None of them have worked so far. I have ensured that i have ticked 'contacts' check box when I am selecting which items from my gmail to sync. Has anybody else faced the same issue or is facing it now? Is there a fix to this?

Thanks in advance!

Okay, no responses from anybody yet! I tried to test a few other things:- newly created contacts on my phone are visible on the "People" list in outlook.com. Also, new contacts made in outlook.com are visible on my Phone. Has anybody seen anything like this, and had found a solution?

If you are using outlook.com and you set up your gmail credentials in outlook then it won't show up on your windows phone.

Export your gmail contacts to a file. (I believe excel, then import that file to outlook.com

Sent from LG G2 on T-Mobile. come on T-Mobile get a flagship Windows Phone!!!!!

Idea for a simple fix.... Single Google doesn't allow for http access anymore, as they changed to https, in settings, accounts, Gmail, under Contact's server, just add https://

Before the www.google.com

I don't have contacts linked to Google or I would have tried myself.

Let me know if this fixes your problem
