How do I restore Windows 8.1 after upgrading to Windows 10?

Windows Central Question

How do I restore windows 8.1 after upgrading to windows 10

System Restore doesn't show any restore points prior to upgrading to win 10 and It wont allow me to create a restore point prior to win 10...

HELP!

Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. You should find the option to rollback to the OS version you've upgraded from there.

P.S.
You can only create a restore point for the current state of your PC, not for a previous state. If a restore point was previously created, then you can restore back to that state.
Restore points only work within the same OS version. If a restore point was created in Windows 7, that restore point won't work when you're already in Windows 10.

You can try this
Go to settings >Update and Security >Recovery >then select Go Back to Windows 8.1.
I have not yet tried to roll Back to windows 8.1 but i think it should work.

What worked for me was to roll back to 8.1 which was a bit messy (some apps and programs), but I had a restore point created in 8.1 that I created before I upgraded to 10 and ran that and everything returned to normal.
