Surface Phone: Best Guess

My best guess about the Surface Phone: The Surface Phone won't exist, but Surface's DNA will be embedded into Lumia line. The Lumia line will continue with legacy Nokia flagship features (ClearBlack, PureView, Glance), but with radical change in design and series numbering. There's even a possibility that Microsoft will reset the numbering. The design will look like the Surface line, and the numbering will be like "Lumia", "Lumia Pro", "Lumia XL", "Lumia 2", "Lumia Pro 2", "Lumia XL 2", etc.

I mean, Surface's DNA is clearly seen in Band 2, and AFAIK Microsoft has no intentions to rebrand the Band line as a Surface line. The same thing could happen to the current Lumia line.

Not if the OS is missing basic features that exist in iOS/Android and if the 1st party apps are in a woeful state. It won't matter how great the hardware is.
