note: parenthesis denotes secondary device

Samsung blackjack II sgh-i617 > Samsung Focus > Nokia Lumia 920 (+ iPhone 4s) > Nokia Lumia 830 (+ iPhone 6) > Microsoft Lumia 950 (+ iPhone 7 Plus) > iPhone 7 Plus (Microsoft Lumia 950)

Yes, I've been using a MS mobile platform since Windows Mobile 6

What first drew me in was the beautiful Lumia 800, one of the best phones I've owned. My history goes as follows: Lumia 800 > Lumia 920 > Lumia 521 > Lumia 630 > Lumia 640 > Lumia 950XL. My wife also had a Lumia 620 > Lumia 830 > Lumia 950 > Alcatel Idol Pro 4S, so we've owned quite a bit of them haha.

I only left 800 cause of WP7 dying and Lumia 920 being great. Then 920 had to go because it got bumped really bad in the corner where the SIM tray is, so I couldn't get any cell service. Carried 521 and 920 for a while, till I got a free 630 by switching to Cricket. Then 640 was super cheap so I got one and gave my 630 to my father in law. The the 2 for 1 deal for 950 and 950 XL came, traded in my old 920 for a sweet $200, and the rest is history 👍.

920 (WP8.0, Cyan, 8,1, Denim, W10M, Insider) -> 830 (8,1, W10M, Insider) -> 720 (8.1) -> 1520 (red, 8,1, W10, Insider) ->1520 (red, W10, Insider) ->1520 (yellow) -> 950XL (W10, insider)

Except for the 720, my Nokia DT-900 has been charging all my phones....

I've been a Nokia fan since 2000, when the 1st Nokia windows phone came out I picked up the Lumia 800. From the I went from the L800 > L900 > L920 > L830 > 950 (currently using).

First, the Lumia 822 (Died within 18 months. I think the micro-USB port was bad. Couldn't charge the phone.), then the Lumia 928 (I had 3 of these, a couple of cracked screens.), now the Lumia Icon. It has been 4 1/2 years in total. Sadly, the Icon may be the end of the road for me. I blame Verizon (in part) for the demise of Windows on phones. I would have jumped to the 950 or 950XL, but they weren't options on Verizon. It was easier to just to stick with what was available then to switch carriers. If it was just me, I probably would have switched, but I have a shared plan with my wife. It may not have mattered if Verizon did support the OS more, but it would have had a better chance.

Going way back on the mobile devices.....

Pocket Pc
Sharp Pocket Pc > Viewsonic Palm PC

Windows Mobile Phones
SMT-5600 > SDA > Tilt > Tilt 2

Windows Phone
LG Quantum (WP7) > Lumia 900 > Lumia 920 > Lumia 950

And I always surprise people when I tell them I had a tablet PC in 1994, the Compaq Concerto.

Oh... And I have never broken any of my phones, not even cracked glass.

I've been using nokia phone's since 1998 and my first phone was Nokia 8110.
My windows phone history is pretty short. I will put on the list Nokia N9 64gb, even thou it's not windows phone, but it was released right after microsoft bought mobile devices from Nokia.
My first actual windwos phone was Lumia 1020 and now I'm using Lumia 950.
I'm looking for to get my hands on Lumia 950XL DS.

I went from using Symbian phones, to Android, to Windows phones starting with a 1020, then 1520, but finally came to iOS (for personal) and Android (work issued SGS6)

The 1020 and 1520 were great, stable devices, and the 4K video with 8 mp image capture on the 1520 allowed me to take some great shots on a Caribbean vacation.

Gotta say, articles like this, seem like a platform swan song and remind me of the final days with Symbian. I don't think we'll ever get an "it's over for W10 Mobile" from Microsoft, due to contractual obligations with partners, but it's effectively kaput. On the bright side, I still use the 1520 in my drawer as a home stereo mp3 player and take along camera, when I want to conserve the battery on my iPhone. From what I understand, Windows phones' software progressively worsened, in stability and performance, with W10 mobile.

Several unremarkable candy bar and flip phones prior to the "smartphone" scene.

Omnia 7 > Lumia 710 > Lumia 900 > HTC 8X > Lumia 620 > Lumia 920 > Lumia 735 > Lumia 950

(Could potentially throw in the HTC Touch Diamond > HTC HD2 at the start if we're including all Windows phones)

Who knows what's next?
