Groove Music - Album art wont show -Go figure

So this is my 6th windows mobile device. I really am not that surprised that Microsoft has managed to screw up the default music player again. Think they would have learned after the Zune.

So my problem is. When syncing music over to my Lumia 950 most of my album art refuses to show. I've tired syncing with
-Windows Phone App
-Winamp
-Windows Media Player
-Windows Explorer

In winamp and windows media player album art shows up for all my albums, but once I move the files over, only select albums have art.

I've been looking for an easy fix, such as adding folder.jpg, and changing the name to cover or front(which some media players I've seen will use this as the album art designation in a folder.) The only way so far for me to get the art to show up is through MP3 tag, but quite frankly I am not a data entry specialist, and I'm not going to sit and go through every album to find out there is some other variable to this I haven't thought of.

Has any one had any luck getting there album art to sync up?

I'm having the same problem with Groove Music as well.
I use WMP to sync my music to my Lumia 635 running build 10586.

When I navigate the SD card in windows explorer, 'This PC\Windows Phone\SD card\Albums' has all the album art but only a small number of albums in Groove will show it and it seems to be random which ones do.

Mix Radio shows all the artwork correctly so I know it's on the phone.

I had this same problem with the Xbox Music app when I got the phone too, it eventually when away but I not know how.

Well, only MP3tag... In 10572 worked without problems.

I don't think the new Groove Music app is built to show the album art. On my phone, it will simply show a picture of the artist/band instead of the album art. If your music files have the album artist and/or the artist set it should show the artist picture like it does for me.

On another note I would have to say that the current Groove Music app is the best music app Microsoft has released for Windows phones. In WP7 and WP8.0 the music app was fast but it was lacking many basic features like editing playlists and a playback slider. WP8.1 added these features but the app was horribly slow and buggy. In W10M, has the features of WP8.1 music app but it is actually fast and really nice Imo.

I think the same, i have my music synchronized with ms database and Groove only shows the artist picture, but not the album artwork, but the files that aren't synchronized shows the album artwork but not the artist picture, is a Little weird, i'd like to have the same experience whit the last music app for wp 8.1 but wiht the UI and speed of the actual w10 app.

It's a problem with Groove Music. In portrait mode, it shows some random image it pulls from the internet. In landscape, it shows the correct album/song image.

Funny because my groove player has a photo of Trailer Swifts 1989 album stuck there & it just will not go away. I even found the mp3 & jpg files & deleted them, but Swifts Mellon is still there haunting me.
bugs the hell out of me.
Microsoft is just like Hyundai (and an ever growing number), they both bring out products that are about 80% finished & then they fix it or finish them over the course of the products life.:unhappysweat:
