Toast notifications not consistent

Hi all. I noticed that on my 8X, sometimes I will not see a toast notification for a text message (sound goes off, screen lights up upon removal from pocket, but no toast). Also, if I do get one, I don't think it always stays. Any idea why this happens? Thanks.

I've noticed the same thing; presumably it's a bug.

Anyone else? It's getting incredibly annoying and am wondering if there is a solution.

Toasts won't stay on screen for more than a few seconds, and disappear if you swipe them left to right. Does the phone do the same if you receive a toast whilst it's out of your pocket?

I understand that they disappear when swiped...I thought the whole point of a toast, though, was supposed to stay on screen until you open your phone to see it? If my phone is out in the open, sometimes I don't even get a toast, have to slide my lockscreen up, hit the messaging tile, see that I don't want to talk to the person that texted me, and then lock my phone. It's quite a process. If it's in my pocket, upon removal, only sometimes the phone will light up to show a toast.

Toasts are gone after 10 seconds (at least in my experience :smile
