Right, I think I may have solved my problem, so ill update this in case anyone has the same problem.
First make sure the following is done from the powershell administrator account.
You will be typing the following into the powershell cmd prompt, ONLY what is within the quotes.
1. Right click on start, launch powershell admin
2. The command prompt should now be open.
3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
4. Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
5. Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
6. Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
7. Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
8. Restart your system.
