Ok it worked. But unfortunately the last backup happened last week and I received some important messages on the weekend.. but well, **** happens.

The same happened to me a few minutes ago. Before i was using whatsapp without problem but suddenly it grayed out. So, the only solution for the moment is reinstalling? And the messages that are backed up will reappear?

I got Note+ when it was free. Now unfornately it costs 1.49 € (might be 1.49 or 1.99 $). Note+ | Windows Phone Anwendungen + Spiele Store (Deutschland) Its great, simple and you can lock it with a 4-digit code. Also got SkyDrive support. I like it more than OneNote.

I guess nobody has a solution for this? In my case there is a similar problem. I'm German and I often type the word "f?r" (which means "for" in english, so you got an idea how often Germans need that word). But typing an "?" is unhandy so I always type "fur" and want my phone to correct it...
