too bad! but like MANY people said (including me) GPS issue has nothing to do with W10 or W8.1, it is a "RANDOM" issue that can happen anytime, anywhere ! Most people do not complain about GPS issues with W10 so no problem there; the situation is that the L535 and 640 along with other models...

your problem also was in W 8.1 i suppose...

EXACT same CONCLUSIONS !!! enable/disable internet quickly is the ONLY way to get offline GPS working for long time. BUT if you CLOSE localization....and try to re-open again...well it won't WORK !

issue with GPS and DENIM ? i wish... many people upgraded to W10 ans still have GPS issues...granted w10 was not final, but still this is scary. Next month we WILL all have the new OS (hopefully) so i will test and see one forumer suggested to install on my pc device recovery tool...as his L730...

at least you guts can lock!!! many of us cannot without enabling internet (data/wifi!) ! so you are ALL lucky !...

yes there are many people with GPS working fine....thank GOD! as that it is how it's supposed to be ! from my reading it seems the problems with GPS on LUMIA devices is MOSTLY related to DUAL sims/unlocked models....some claim it started with DENIM update, others say its when they sent it to...

yes and you are aware WM10 is not finished? that is why it has been delayed !

also just to clarify, like i stated on other posts... in my case and various other people's; WHEN my device locks on a place with INTERNET enabled....it WILL work after that without needing internet! at my moms house for 2 weeks i NEVER got a GPS lock (offline); once i tested with data on...and...

X20 series has been flawless...so it does not count. for the 635 few people have it, so i can't say. For the 640...like i said JUST read the numerous threads around the world...along with 535 and 730 etc...and it mainly affects dual sim models...hell even 950 has issues...just go and check...

GPS problems on lumias started with X30 series and upwards...X20 series and before NEVER had issues...

people! the problem is not with the maps or anything regarding apps! the problem resided inside the GPS receiver of the LUMIA phones! just uses apps like hardware test or gps satellite...and you WILL have PROOF that GPS DOES NOT WORK in 90% of the cases !!!!!!

did you make any progress @avengerxp ? so GPS worked well on 8.1 and now it can't worek offline ? holy crap that is NOT GOOD! i have the 640XL and ALMOST NEVER managed to make it work without internet ! THIS is a SERIOUS issue for all of lumia owners ! MANY of us posted on their forums...but...

@avecngerxp: so even on 640 next month when W10 will be out...GPS won't work....and no they will NOT fix this as the problem has been around for years!!!! on all models mostly!

many of LUMIA owners including me have ISSUES with GPS !!! 535/730/640XL/950 etc....all have a non functional GPS for many many users. there is NO solution except activate location and internet (wifi or data) at the same time. that works every time on my lumia.... but MICROSOFT never bothered...

ahh so BEFORE W8.1 gps was always working FINE ? in your case can you confirm that is is related to OS update only...therefore being a SOFTWARE issue ? also was it the first update or the latest denim update that started giving issues ? do you have cases where you can't lock on at all, like...
