Earlier today I installed the new firmware. I hope it's not a placebo effect, but the touch-weirdness I was feeling when typing fast in the keyboard, in comparison to my Lumia 1520 or 1020 which are amazing tor touch, has definitely been improved.

To those of you who already got this new firmware on your 950XL, is there any other thing that you've felt an improvement in? For example, does typing on the keyboard feel more fluid, or does the general responsiveness of the phone faster, etc...?

It has worked like a charm on my new 950XL. This is much easier than the way we used to flashed Windows 8.1 devices. I now have the latest firmware and no carrier-related stuff :D

If your phone is working correctly, why are you trying to send it to the repair service? I have decided I will give the 950XL a go :) obviously if after receiving it I'm not happy I might sell it and get a new 1520 or 930.

My 1520 is being repaired right now. I sent it a couple of months ago and they sent it back without any repair, claiming it just needed an update (it was up to date lol). So I sent it now again insisting on the touch screen issue. Really hope they fix or replace my screen with a functional one.

yes, you should try downloading Windows Insider app and enroll in the fast or slow program. Then restart and you will be able to download new speech languages.
