Roll call: Insiders raise your hands!

Installing the Fall Update from the RP as we speak. (And I've beta tested Windows builds as far back as Vista) Oh, yes. I'm here!

Are you on Release Preview? It's heeeeeeeerrrreee! (Fall Creator's Update)

I'm on the RP ring and my PC is in the middle of installing 1709, the Fall Update, this very minute. Anyone else? Excited? Scared? Worried? Discuss here.

Windows Store Movies & TV Question

I accidentally bought a movie title but never downloaded it. I'll download it and see what happens.

Error Code: 0x80073CF0 when updating Store

The store update worked out for me BUT a) the live tile barely functions and b) a couple apps are refusing to update with that same error code (Mail and Calendar and Films & TV apps, namely). Hurry the h*ll up and fix this, Microsoft!

    Redstone has hit Insider Preview!!!

No joke: I'm on the Insider Preview ring with my L 830 AND it automatically updated to Redstone (10.0.14393.5) last night while I was sleeping. It's like Christmas morning! My phone runs so much smoother, loads apps quicker and not a show-stopping bug in sight. I can't wait to try out the new...

URGENT HELP NEEDED: Windows 10 Activation?

If you have to replace a motherboard, you'll have to call a 1-800 number (or the like) and explain your situation to a service rep, along with most other types of activation issues.

    Hard reset after every update?

Cumulative updates don't necessarily require a hard reset BUT every major revision sure does. A hard reset after 3 or 4 updates isn't a bad idea, though...

Do you use a case for your 830 or go naked?

Hard cases drive me crazy: They add bulk (I have small hands and a 5 in display is my absolute breaking point, size wise) and, far too often, they interfere with accessories and cables. I also hate hard cases because they interfere with access to battery and cards. I've had my 830 for a few...

Technically, it is possible to uninstall then reinstall the Glance module... Just sayin'...

New Windows Phone that can use CDMA?

Makes me glad that all Canadian carriers switched to HSPA and upgraded their mobile tech from there. CDMA is dead...

Native Win10 mobile users, has the camera improved with updates?

As far as I can tell, the Windows Camera app in Win 10 pretty much *IS* a relabelled Lumia Camera. All I know is that it launches quickly and smoothly for me on my L 830, focuses like it's supposed to and doesn't really hang during normal camera operation. YMMV, depending on what version...

WinKee - I can't find it ? - Recommend another KeePass App Please?

When I got my first Win phone ever (Win 8.0), I was desperately looking for a KeePass port after abandoning BlackBerry. I first tried an app called WinKee and stuck with it for a while but it felt threadbare and short on features. I later tried 7Pass for a day or two but wasn't happy with it...

Why does the display light go off and on, on my Lumia 830?

UPDATE: Build 10586.107 seems have gone quite a bit further in solving the random blackout we've been suffering with - after my seeing the problems worsening after .36! The problem might be close to being finally licked, folks. :excited: I'm hoping MS is on track for a final release... AT LAST...

Why does my Lumia 830 display blackout?

I've been painfully aware of the random, spontaneous blackouts on 830 devices for some time now, patiently waiting for just the right updates to Win 10 for them to be mitigated at the very least. I downloaded and installed the 02179.00000.15455.24047 firmware a while ago and it does little to...

    10586.107 available for fast insiders

My L830 updated to the .107 build and so far, so good. I THINK it may have gone a long way towards finally resolving the random screen blackout issue us owners of 830s have been struggling with; an especially terrible problem with some older 8.1 apps that haven't been updated for about a year or...
