I'm using Windows 10 mobile and I wondered if if I have to do a hard reset after every update? If yes what happens to my game save data, for example Tiny Troopers? Will I have to keep restarting all my games?

If the game save data is saved to the cloud, you will be able to get it back. Some games use your facebook account etc. If it's saved on the phone, you will lose it.

And no. You don't have to.

I have a950 and was on the insider program up u till the .164 build and didn't do a hard reset u till just recently and it did absolutely nothing so no not at this point the builds are fine unless you have some problems I wouldn't do it

Cumulative updates don't necessarily require a hard reset BUT every major revision sure does. A hard reset after 3 or 4 updates isn't a bad idea, though...

Hard reset is not a bad idea. After reset message back? reinstall apps? Reset is last option #shouldBe #imo

My 950 battery is taking a beating after Fridays update. My background choice of photo has never held. It would cycle through the sample images, which I got used to. After the update, it does not cycle nor hold the background I choose. I really don't want to nuke it, but I don't think I have a choice right now. This new build is rough. I had been very pleased thus far, and I still am. This build just needs to work the kinks out.

Messages, info, settings and people come back automatically. So the apps, which they install again one by one automatically according to backup list.
It's a little slooooow however....

I would only hard reset if there's sizeable issues.

Minor updates probably don't do much, but if a huge one like the 8.0 -> 8.1 jump causes issues, then a hard reset should be on the table. But only do it if you A. Want to or B. have issues other solutions haven't fixed.
