We need a Snapdragon X-powered gaming handheld sooner rather than later — How Qualcomm can challenge the Steam Deck

I am wondering if this is the factor delaying the xbox handheld. A snapdragon handheld would be gamechanger and bring a serious alternative to the switch 2 with performance and battery life. Current gaming performance on this chip is with translation, not even native ARM games. Either way the...

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 developer claims Witcher 4 development is slow, blasts open-world games on Unreal Engine 5

It is puzzling that CDPR is changing engine, it looks like they finally had figured it all out with the latest Cyperpunk DLC, and that engine has been a visual reference. When you see Indiana Jones or KCD2, it shows that good visual does not require Unreal Engine 5.

Until Xbox can get AAA studios and exciting indies to organically support 'Xbox Play Anywhere,' Microsoft's current gaming strategy will not pay off

I would be shocked if Steam publishing agreement doesn't include an exclusivity clause for PC/Windows platforms and be the real cause of all of this. But definitely disappointed not to have KCD2 with Play Anywhere. I like my series X but it slowly feels like having my games inside a Steam...

Confirmed: Forza Horizon 5 is the next title to make the leap from Xbox to PlayStation

This could revive the game and the multiplayer experience, esp since it is a 4+ year old game. This is one of my favorite racing games, from the intro, to the landscapes and some of the iconic locations - everybody wins having this one on PS5.

Dear Xbox developers: More than ever, I want you to please consider Xbox Play Anywhere for your next game.

I don't see how everything is a xbox without this feature and without more PC games published in the xbox app. Until then, a ROG ally is a steam box and a xbox console a separate thing. I do regret buying a physical version of Like a Dragon Infinite wealth because I ended up finding that it is...

OpenAI o1 might be the final nail in coding's coffin — "If OpenAI's o1 can pass OpenAI's research engineer hiring interview for coding at a 90-100...

Kevin's articles lack some depth and go for catchy titles. Not only the errors, but the AI will just spit out code it learned from existing open-source codes which is not always accurate or even good. I'm sure today's AI could replace some jobs, but this would not be any better than an average...

PSA: It doesn't matter if your computer runs on ARM, all of your apps will work on Windows 11

Makes me wonder if future Xbox ARM handhelds are possible. These devices might be first gen of solid ARM devices that will finally compete with Apple but I'm excited to see what will be coming in terms of battery efficient devices. I think it will be a game changer because these chips could also...

Microsoft's Bill Gates is worried about losing his job to AI, though it could potentially present a 3-day workweek opportunity

Please be more thorough in your articles "The technology can already develop software in under 7 minutes. " this is a poor example and not realistic.

Here's why Windows Subsystem for Android got killed off, according to a 29-year Microsoft veteran

The Amazon store had a small subset of all their apps available through the WSA - you can barely find a weather app, I couldn't find a single app I needed there. I am worried there are other agreements in certain apps that prevented Amazon from publishing more of their apps on WSA. I don't...

OPINION: This week's big Xbox drama showcases how little people trust Nadella's Microsoft — a legacy forged in the death of Windows Phone

I somehow get the phone thing - they prob poured billions into the windows phone without getting a dent in the market, and unclear if more $$$$ would have changed much. I still suspect they could have had a decent 3rd position and offer a mobile game pass device. But man the hololens, we cannot...

Palworld has, once again, highlighted the on going deficiencies in PC Game Pass and the Xbox app on Windows 11

Why aren't we getting more updates to this app when gaming on PC is a priority? I don't get this app. Xbox has fantastic UI/UX on the console, there are many good examples and then we end up with this super basic launcher that feels like a single developer's work. I keep thinking that a whole...

Xbox wasn't involved with Redfall, but it's still blamed for its quality

Dustin from IGN echoed the same - his theory is that the team is working on the next Fallout

Xbox wasn't involved with Redfall, but it's still blamed for its quality

Given the amount of issues with that game - there is no way it was launched without Xbox and Arkane KNOWING it was going to be a disaster. The game must have gone through many focus groups, betas, etc and most of the current feedback is not new to them. I'm thinking they decided the game was...

windows 10 on thinkpad tablet 2

I got my TT2 working with Windows 10 by installing the Windows 8.1 drivers. It is working sort of ok (better than the default windows driver), there are some glitches though which do get worse the longer you use the tablet.
