What phone are you using these days?

I've been through so many phones I can't list them all. The current stable includes a Moto Edge+ 2022, a Surface Duo and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Due to carrier shenanigans, the only WM10 I currently own that still works is the Alcatel Idol 4S. So few apps work that I can't imagine using it as a daily...

    Any Windows Phones Still Functioning?

My understanding is that any T-Mobile phone made prior to mid-2016 will be cut off. It's all about e911 from what I remember - this is not new. I'm curious as to why you had to manually edit the APN settings on a T-Mobile-branded device.

    Any Windows Phones Still Functioning?

It depends on which carrier you use. On T-Mobile, the ONLY Windows Phone running the 1709 branch that is compatible with TMO's bands and VoLTE is the Alcatel Idol 4S. That's it. I believe AT&T still supports the AT&T-branded Lumia 950. Someone on AT&T would have to confirm this. As far as...

Like most adults with the attention span of a gnat, I looked at the pictures before reading the text. Prior to reading about former IBM employees being involved with this, my first thought was IBM Selectric!

WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I think it's a myriad of things but the biggest issue is the cost of living. Particularly the cost of domicile. Wages, for WHATEVER the reason, have been fairly stagnant for some time now but rents have skyrocketed and real estate is beyond insane. People are simply leaving the large...

WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Hey guys, it's been a while for me. Work has been an absolute bear since midway last year, I don't know if it's a South Florida issue with the cost of living getting so high but there's an enormous labor shortage for skilled trades workers. Those of us still around are being ground into fine...

A tip from a pro who's installed dozens of those things. If your basement allows it, it's best to set your pump in a depressed area even if it's only 6" deep. Keeping sump pumps in a wet pit will save you from seized impellers - which is probably what caused yours to fail. By the way, Zoeller...

WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So today I had the prelim meeting with the roofer that's going to do my house. He knocks on my door; I open it, and he's standing there with a Surface Duo in his hand. Sure enough, I had my Duo 2 in my hand and then we're staring at each other's phone with the goofiest smiles available. This all...

Count your lucky stars you don't live in South Florida. Besides homeowner's, we have a separate beast called wind coverage. Homeowner's doesn't cover damages from wind events like hurricanes. Here in the land of cray-cray, insurance companies have banded together in the past year to jack up...

WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I had to cancel my order for the SD2 and I'm glad I did. I finally got to see it live and in color at Best Buy and disappointment doesn't begin to cover it. Specifically, the camera bump. It simply does not allow for proper opening. It has a detent which leaves a roughly 1/2" gap between the...
