I have a ball mount from Pro Fit installed on the dash that I have used with several different phone mounts over the years. I stuck the ball socket (17mm) on the back.

I took the Kensington case and put a adhesive ball mount socket on the back and used my old car mount's ball that's on my dash. Works perfectly.
