does anyone know if the phone has to be on Black before updating to Cyan? She is still on Amber, never received an update to black. I have searched but cannot find if it makes a difference or not

Our 8.1 updates finally came through this past weekend. My son and I installed onto our Lumia 521's just fine. My daughter's 521, however, is showing error 8018830f (which, when googled, was a problem they had back in August and supposedly fixed). No idea what to do now. Apparently Windows...
