I have a yellow 920 and when I text a friend on Verizon, she has been getting the messages twice. This didn't happen when I was on my Focus. I'm on AT&T.

Is the goal of this trick improved battery life? How much improvement would it offer? Does it only make sense if you're in an area with spotty or no LTE?

Is it the same email that a bunch of people got earlier today? Looking at my order page, it appears that the charging plate is the backordered item and didn't get shipped out.

:D Technically ordered on the 7th at 10am CST, but it says the 8th for some reason. EDIT: Quick question - do they require a signature on these? It doesn't look like it's letting me do a hold for pickup like I usually do with FedEx.

That's my $64,000 question. I'd love to know what actual numbers we're talking about here. This just isn't the same as an iPhone launch, where Apple sell hundreds of thousands or millions in a weekend. I'd be pretty astonished if there were more than a thousand yellows preordered, honestly...

I was kind of hoping that it was just a blanket, non-specific email that AT&T sent out because they realize how frustrated people are getting from the lack of communication about their orders. It also gives them something to fall back on when people complain, so they can say "Didn't you get that...

I just got the same email. I ordered 10am CST on the 7th (but AT&T's order page says it was the 8th). My tracking pages haven't changed. "In Progress" and "Pending Shipment" on the wireless.att.com one, and "Processing" on the other.

Yes, and it's got me a little concerned. I ordered mine around 10am on the 7th, and I have the confirmation email to prove it. My order status has me listed as ordering on the 8th. I hope that doesn't push me too far back in the queue so that I'm not in the first batch that appears to be getting...
