Got my text messages back! I guess MS did something right...

Well, it's alive. Automatically downloading some 2018-11 Update Version 1703 so there will probably go any free space in phone memory. At least I was able to restore all my Contacts - lost text messages though.

Went ahead and initiated a Hard Reset and Restore. Fingers crossed that it works.

So I went to use my 640 today which is running Win10 and my Start screen is all jumbled - Apps that I had pinned were gone and others were there that shouldn't be. I then noticed many Apps were missing from the App page/screen including things like the Store, Settings, Messaging, People...

I was able to upload videos taken with my L640 before updating from Win 8.1 to 10 but now I get no progress and Youtube pops up a message saying "Your videos will process faster if you encode into a streamable file format." Anyone know what I need to do to get vids to upload?

Wow - guess I'm the only one that has this issue going on. That or everyone is jumping off the sinking Windows Phone ship...

On my AT&T Lumia 640 running W10, whenever I go to launch a site from my favorites in Edge, the page is frozen. The only way I can get it to work is by closing the page/tab then re-launch from History and then the page/site loads normally. Anyone else having the same issue or know of a fix?

Success! New 640 wasn't quite done applying various updates and after it finally finished, I was able to use TMD to move his contacts over.

Almost done. Win 10 update went fine. Tried using another of his beat up 640's to transfer his Contacts over using the Transfer my Data app but can't get the two phones to connect via Bluetooth so I guess I'll just have to do it manually.

I appreciate you trying to help but the phone appears to be dead. I tried running the WDRT twice and it failed both times. I am in the process of activating his spare 640 and updating it to Windows 10.

Thanks. I think it's probably FUBAR as I just tried running WDRT and it failed but will try one more time. Good thing I got him a few L640's at $30 each - he is very hard on phones and is down to his last one...

Well, looks like some Microsoft drone finally fixed the issue as sometime in the last couple of weeks the issue has resolved

My Brother's Lumia 640 AT&T Gophone suddenly has lost the display but the phone continues to work as in receiving calls/texts/emails. I've tried removing/reinstalling the battery and have tried soft resetting the phone 4-5 times. Is there a way to do a hard reset in its current state of not...

Another thing I notice is say when doing a Google search, when the results load, the displayed text is tiny and the page will be unresponsive to attempts to zoom or make other changes.
