I had an issue too. Went to Microsoft store, it was the latest Intel drivers. They removed the drivers reinstalled and it's working fine now

So my surface go couldn't install an update. And it turns out the tech support at Microsoft knows very little about S mode and there is no real work around to fix these things without losing S mode. Anyone else have similar issues?

Generally I've left it in sleep mode. It shuts itself off if I leave it asleep for too long I suppose

I agree with beman. Click the battery icon on the task bar and make sure both power sliders are set to best performance.

looks like there's an issue with the newest drivers for ff15. they don't have the gpu id in them I guess. it can't recognize the hardware to install. also doesn't detect the games I have. even a reinstallation of experience didn't help.

I would say apple is the biggest competitor. I think this is more of a cultural issue though. apple successfully marketed themselves as the cool and trendy product along with being simple. that appeals to those who aren't as enthusiastic about tech and what it can do. if more people were...
