Thanks guys, A small miracle happened and both PCs updated normally since last night. I guess there was a problem with the Microsoft update servers somewhere or other. The advice was useful and will bear it in mind next time I run into the same lack of responsiveness from the update servers...

I have two PCs here and both are getting stuck doing Windows update, one finally gives message 0x800705b4 and the other just sits. Both are running Windows 10 Version 1607 build 14393.447 Is this a general problem or just me? Mike

Fixed since I completely reset the phone, I should have done this earlier but feared loosing stuff. The reset went well and I was able to recover nearly enough everything with no hassle. A number of other smallish problems have also been resolved too. Thanks for the inputs guys...

I also wondered about that, it might be the reason. Mine is working again in single SIM state but using both SIMS creates enormous problems and each time I install the second SIM I end up removing it again.

It was updated a long time ago, I always hope that a new version will solve these outstanding problems but it doesn't...

I have had dual-SIM problems through many releases without them ever changing anything so I can be patient until .221 becomes the general release version. Are you using dual SIM with two operational SIMs? Mine only becomes very flaky when the second SIM is in place. Sometimes it works with both SIMs but more often than not the app crashes, or at least goes back to the start screen. This is not something related to WiFi as the same thing happens...
