Just insert the sim card that came with the phone and don't activate it. It still logs onto the att towers and it's also wise to use to keep the time.

It's cortana. I turned it off and my phone is back to normal. Just like Siri, I'm not going to use it, so it's not a loss.

I had off yesterday so I did a test. My L520 took almost 4 hours to charge from starting at 30% life and it was depleted without using it within 2 hours.None of my apps were installed, just put 8.1 on there and let it sit. I get this is a beta but c'mon.

Because we live in a society that likes to see failure as long as it isn't happening to them. We also live in a society where people worry too much about whether or not their phone is better than another persons phone and who's OS is better rather than being happy with the devices they chose...
