Just do a hard reset, period. Just move your important materials from the phone o a flash drive or your laptop before taking that action.

Hello! I use a Microsoft Lumia 640 xl. The hard reset was what I'd just done and it rather went successfully. It created more than enough space on my phone, and correcting some other issues. Most importantly, it was the opportunity it gave to uninstall apps like wallet and Xbox that don't work...

Just perform a hard reset. Not only do you end up with more space, but seems a lot of the apps initially difficult to remove or uninstall, now can be uninstalled during that period. Didn't have to look at the OTHERS file any longer. Hope yours turn out as well as mine did.🤞

Just plan for a hard reset. Not only do you end up with a lot more space afterwards, but it appears other issues get resolved along the way as well. Most importantly, back up your data before the reset. Hope it goes as well as mine did. 😄

Nope! That didn't work either on the phone. Found the reset button in settings. I'll have to remove my SD card before doing the hard reset. Backed up a few things as well, just in case. Well let you know how that turns out.🤞

I use a Microsoft Lumia 640 xl dual sim which came with windows 8.1, but I've since upgraded to windows 10. Could a hard reset take all the way back to 8.1 or at least keep me at windows 10 AU? Or hoping it'll be at CU?

Would like to know how to do a hard reset though, just in case. Appears to be the last resort.
