For text messages you can use contacts+ message backup app. After installing this app you can find it extras in Settings. By this app you can backup and restore contacts and text messages via sd card very easily.

Restart your phone. It worked for me.

Not necessary. I have never reset my phone. My phone came with Windows 8.1 and now iam on Windows 10 with the build .420 , its working fine. Lumia 532

I think not possible via OTA because your device internal storage is 4 GB. It may be possible through windows device recovery tool and that too only if microsoft releases wm10 for your device

Re: How to move contacts to an android phone? Sign in your microsoft account on pc there you can see your contacts. Regarding syncing your android phone may have the option of geting contacts from ms Acount. I dont have android so can't tell about it in detail

Find my phone works fine with both wp8.1 and wm10 You are not able to detect it means that either your device has location disabled or there is no internet access on it.

That's the reason I joined insider and got it three weeks back.
