The battery is interchangeable with the s4, but the back cover is not. I'm not aware of any back cover replacements for the ativ se that would accommodate an extended battery. What I did was buy an extra s4 battery and battery charger, so I pretty much always have a fully charged backup battery...

Ativ se is also sitting unused for me, so I'll definitely install when it's available.

I'm a fan of the skinomi screen protector. Very smooth, very tough.

The charging dock for the s4, however, will not work with the ATiv se. The spare battery slot on the back is what I bought it for, however.

received the battery today, part number B600BZ, and it fits perfectly and is the exact same battery that came with my Ativ SE. on Samsung's website, it's listed to work with the S4 and S4 active.

Well, I looked it up by part number, and the one I ordered said it was a battery for an s4. It hasn't come yet, so ill post definitively when I get it.

I've seen elsewhere that the ativ se uses a nano sim. I had the micro sim from my 8x marked and ready to cut, but decided to double check the ativ se. Indeed, this phone actually used the micro sim. I almost learned a valuable lesson: Don't believe what you read on the internet.

I'd imagine, as always, that this delay is verizons fault. They probably don't like how the new firmware and wp8.1 work with VZ Nav or some other worthless Verizon app. I really hate Verizon, ever since they never sent wp7.8 to my trophy. "I hate Verizon." --Louis CK

I do use the 2A charger that came with the device, and a 2.1A portable battery charger with the same results. I'll see if I get and different results with the new battery that's on the way.

After a little more research, it looks like this uses the same battery as the S4. I bought an extra battery and dual charger, which should resolve my battery issues. I was spoiled by my 8x, which charged very fast and sipped battery life.

My ativ se seems to be charging very slowly, ie 7-8 hrs for a full charge. Anyone else having this issue? Also, what good is a swappable battery if I can't find anywhere that sells the battery. Anyone have any luck on this one?
