Not tried to download a full blown movie, but songs etc download just fine and "in the background". Yeah and games do pause when you press the start key and reopen from where you left them when you select them from the multitasking carousel.

How do i get the extra settings such as glance screen and display back ? I performed a factory reset after the update and now they are gone.

They removed the option to select "3g only" as the highest connection speed in sim settings. It was very useful for areas with spotty 3g/4g coverage as it prevented the phone from using 2g data mode. To check go to settings>network and wireless>mobile and sim>sim settings.

Have you done this before ? You only get notifications on the lockscreen and that too when you have selected the app from lockscreen settings. The 'icon' for them only appears when there is a notification pending.
