I have an AT&T Go 640 that the Calendar and Mail apps never updated regardless of how may updates for it/them came out. I then debranded my phone a few months ago with the AR ROM, and it has been working ever since. It did stop working again after I did a hard reset to fix the Bluetooth issue...

You're not alone. It has worked once for me since the update, and is back to not working again. At the moment it is the only app/game I have installed that isn't working.

Yes. The only thing is most are branded in some way and unless you can find someone that has used it, no way to know if those options are available or not. There is also five variants of the 640 (3 single SIM, and 2 dual SIM), and the ROM has to match the model number.

Assuming you have the AT&T version the only way to get those settings to work is to debrand your phone. I just did mine recently using this tutorial, https://www.reddit.com/r/windowsphone/comments/4bcvgg/comprehensive_guide_to_lumia_640_unlocking/ and used his update.bat, and it worked...

Works just fine on the 640 like the screen cap above, as long as you're still on 8.1. Once you update to 10 you don't get it anymore.

Can't help with the rest but the bolded above is an easy one. They integrated Insider into the Settings. You can now find it under Settings->Update and Security->Windows Insider Programme. The Glance question I wouldn't mind an answer to as well, but that is more on Microsoft adding those...

It was added in the last build only it didn't work. Just had a look and it looks like they fixed it.
