Update, my phone was fine for awhile, but I still could not send e-mail. After a factory reset it was fine. My friend got like 6 emails that were waiting in my outbox after that.

That was my exact issue, but my text message app did it as well. I have removed skype and it worked until the morning and now I cannot send emails, but receive works. I am restoring from backup now.

After I installed Skype my phone has been wonky all weekend. All my e-mail service lock up and my text message app. It keeps locking when it sync to live and twitter. Reboots do not help. I finally uninstalled skype and had to remove and add my gmail account and everything works again...

You make some good points. There is a new Skydrive API that is out. Perhaps, that might shed some light on the scenario; as it will have to describe what limits it has. However, my bet is the Microsoft client will have higher limits that the API would provide.
